Rubi died in hospital after being found with signs of violence in her home. No other information is known.

We regret to announce the passing of Rubí Mejía, a trans woman originally from Oaxaca. Her family is currently seeking support to cover the costs of transporting her body from Mexico City to her home community. We are sharing details here.
