Caribe Afirmativo warns that this murder adds to the worrying continuation of lethal violence against trans women in the country. Many of these have occurred in contexts of social exclusion, informal employment, and lack of state protection.
We reiterate our call for these cases to be investigated with a gender and diversity perspective and due diligence, and not treated as isolated incidents
