Tiago was shot in the street near his home.

Saturday morning in the Cariri region was marked by the murder of two [people] within an hour. Around 3:30 am [deadname] da Silva, 30 years old, “Tiago”, was killed with several shots to [his] head near [his] home on Rua Mariana Dantas de Medeiros (Bairro Triângulo). The crime took place in the vicinity of Praça do Prourb and [he] even tried to run to escape the line of executioners who lured the [trans man] into a conversation and executed [him].

In January 2025 a 32 year-old suspect was arrested.
