Beaten and stabbed
Freddie, who was described as a "female impersonator", was stabbed and beaten to death by two men. She was left lying in the hallway with stab wounds in her abdomen and chest.
Early on the morning of the 25th of December, 1964, Raymond A Craig, 22, and Joe Larry Long, 21, followed Freddie B. Jordan, 26, wearing makeup and female clothing, and described as a "female impersonator", home to her apartment at 2029 North College Ave, Indianapolis, and began beating her.
Freddie's roommate, Peaches (James Lee) Green, 19, left to call police and on returning found her lying in the hallway with stab wounds to her abdomen and chest, and the two men leaving — one of them carrying a bloody linoleum knife.

A 26-year-old man died en route to General Hospital today after police found him bleeding from stab wounds in the stomach and chest in the hallway of a near-Northside apartment.
Police said the victim, Freddie B. Jordan Jr., 26, 2029 N. College, was dressed in women's clothing and was wearing makeup. He was known as a female impersonator.
Police went to the apartment at 1:12 a.m. James Lee Green, 19, who shares the apartment with Jordan, said two men came to the apartment and argued with Jordan.
Police found a straight razor and a woman's purse containing $17.30. Wigs and dresses were found in the apartment
